EVA & SERGIO
(Spain)

Eva & Sergio are the duo behind Voodoo Blues, a project born from their passion for Blues music, dance and its history. Since 2018, they have been actively building and nurturing Blues dance communities, first in Madrid and since 2020 in Valencia, where they teach, organize events and promote the culture behind the music.
As teachers, they combine musicality, connection, Blues dance styles and cultural context, encouraging dancers to go beyond the steps and connect with the music they are dancing to. Their passion for Blues also extends to their DJ sessions, where they explore the history and evolution of the music, from its deepest roots to R&B, Soul, Funk and other styles born from the Blues. They play both digital and, especially, vinyl, always searching for new records, forgotten artists and stories to share with the dance floor.
They have taught in Madrid, Valencia, Munich, Ankara and Guglionesi, and have DJed across Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Turkey and China.
ELISE & HADRIEN
(France)

Elise and Hadrien are two crazy devoted Blues dancers and teachers from France. They met each other on the dance floor a long time ago and discovered a shared passion in nonverbal communication, bodily inventiveness, and creative shapes. Since 2018, they have been teaching and growing together, with a shared goal in learning about Black American dances in their socio-cultural contexts and history. Their classes emphasize feeling the music, experiencing the joy of simple things, engaging in small or larger conversations, and using equal voices to express themselves.
Elise Klein is a dancer and dance teacher, passionate about African-American dances and their origins: Blues, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz. With about thirty years of experience in a range of genres, including modern Jazz, Funk, R&B, Afro-Urban, Salsa, Swing, Blues, theater, and singing, her artistic and dance path is marked by diversity and her passion for improvisation and theater.
Some recent workshops where Elise has taught : Big City Blues (Belgium), Blues After Hours (Greece), ESBF (Madrid, ES), The Blues Spot (Strasbourg, FR), and many others…
Hadrien discovered blues in 2010, and since then he decided to fully immerse himself in this expressive and liberating dance, gradually setting aside his initial passions (Rock & Roll, Latin dances, and Lindy Hop). Inspired by the musical and cultural richness of blues, he uses his experience as a physiotherapist to help his students feel at ease in their bodies and move comfortably. His classes, open to everyone, mix humor, kindness, and personal exploration of movement. For Hadrien, dance and music go hand in hand: he encourages everyone to draw from the richness of blues to inspire their creativity and expression.
